I love carbohydrates. They are my Achilles heel. I can’t resist them. Kevin calls me a carb monster. I could give up chocolate easier than I could give up bread, and that is saying A LOT.
I am very lucky that I have been blessed with a fairly decent metabolism, which means that for most of my life I’ve been able to eat pretty much eat what I want without really having to worry about it.
However, with my 30th birthday peering around the corner, my metabolism isn’t quite what it used to be. Eating a whole loaf of focaccia bread now leads to all sorts of unsightly jiggles that I don’t enjoy.
I will never give up carbs. I once tried the Adkins diet and it was the worst three weeks of my life. But, I am trying to make healthier carb related decisions.
